Jack Petchey Award Winners:

The Jack Petchey Foundation was set up to inspire and motivate young people across London and Essex by providing exciting projects and programmes for them to get involved in. They also recognise the outstanding achievements of today’s young people by awarding them for their hard work and positive impact in their community.

SWCHS has participated in this Award Scheme for a number of years and in January, this year’s winners were acknowledged and celebrated at a Digital Awards Ceremony, hosted by The Jack Petchey Foundation.  SWCHS winners were Lily Hales, Isobel Davies, Paige Peacock, Laurence Beven, Lucy Chappell, Sophie Hancock, Loren Herring and Tilly Ingham.  They were all worthy winners and were nominated for a myriad of wonderful work – from providing support and assistance to those in need through the Covid pandemic; to providing support to friends and peers in need; and for the charitable work they had undertaken outside school.   In addition, Justine Lister, SWCHS Librarian, was awarded a Leaders’ Award for her inspirational and amazing work within the school’s Learning Centre.  Award Winners are provided with £250 to spend on items of their choice within school.
