Jack Petchey Awards 2022

For the first time in a number of years, due to Covid, the Jack Petchey Foundation held their much-anticipated Awards Evening in person - the event is an opportunity to celebrate Jack Petchey Award winners for the 2021/22 Academic Year.

Saffron Walden County High School had 10 Award Winners for this academic year, with 8 Award Winners attending the event - each being presented with a medallion to mark their amazing achievement.  The Jack Petchey Foundation was set up by Sir Jack Petchey to inspire and motivate young people to do their best and reach their full potential.  Award winners are nominated by their teachers and peers within SWCHS, and winners are then chosen by the Student Leadership Committee.  This year's winners were awarded for, amongst other things, their fund-raising work; their commitment to the school's pastoral hub; their commitment to in-school extra-curricular groups; supporting refugees from Ukraine as they arrived at SWCHS; and provision of exceptional support to the Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme.  Each and every one of our winners were so deserving of their Award - each winner was awarded up to £300 to spend within the school.

All our Award Winners had a wonderful evening, and the event provided a great opportunity to celebrate their incredible individual achievements.  SWCHS is very proud of them all - and they should all be equally proud of themselves.
