National Apprenticeship Week

Apprenticeships, which allow students to work and train (often gaining a degree-level qualification at the end), are becoming a popular route for students post-A-Level. To celebrate this, many well-known organisations are hosting virtual events which we are strongly encouraging Year 12 students to attend. UCAS, Gov.uk, Cambridge Regional College and Harlow & Stansted Airport Colleges are all offering exciting talks and guidance sessions. Some of these are with leading employers, others are with careers advisors or even apprentices themselves.

These talks should give students an insight into apprenticeship options and help them explore future career choices. We suggest that all students, (even those wanting to go to university), attend some of these sessions. It is not uncommon for students in Year 13 to apply for both UCAS and apprenticeships to allow for flexibility in circumstances.

Please see below the National Apprenticeship Week Timetable of Events.
