Administrative Assistant

We are looking for an experienced Administrator to join our busy school office, providing support to the Senior Leadership Team, teaching staff, parents/carers and students as required.

The individual needs to be organised, enjoy working in a team and be confident in dealing with all members of the school community with a focus on projecting a professional image of the school at all times.

The main duties will include: general administrative support to all, preparing communications to go out to parents, creating Microsoft forms and co-ordinating responses, recording student attendance and maintaining student records using the school database, handling telephone calls.

This is a varied and demanding role and the successful candidate should possess excellent communication skills (both verbal and written) excellent attention to detail, planning and organisational skills. Applicants must be able to work within tight time frames in a busy office environment, be a confident user of IT. and have a working knowledge of Excel and Office 365 would be an advantage.

The post is term time only (39 weeks annually) from 9.00 a.m. to 5.00 p.m. (there may be some flexibility on start/end times) Job share considered. Salary will be on the Local Government scale 4-7, (£23,114 - £ 24,294) pro-rata dependent on experience. Actual in the region £18,744.68.
