Lead School for Music

We are delighted to have been chosen to be a Lead School for Music by Essex County Council.  Lead Schools will work on a variety of musical projects and activities to inspire and engage children and young people. They will also offer support to other schools throughout Essex, Southend and Thurrock.

We are looking forward to championing best practice and so support delivery of an excellent music curriculum for all young people in our region as well as helping to ensure that all students have access to high-quality music experiences.

Lead schools are expected to work closely with their local Music Service, act as champions for the area and co-create activity with local providers, funded by the Music Hub. This will create a more collaborative and effective music education ecosystem.
