CURRENT SWCHS STUDENTS: You will be sent a log in invitation from Applicaa on Thursday 23rd October to your school email. You do not need to create your own account as you are already in the Applicaa system.
Please email admissions@swchs.net if your invitation does not arrive on the 23rd.

Press the start application button and choose - I AM THE APPLICANT - and not parent/carer.

If you have any problems, please email admissions@swchs.net You will need to upload a copy of your most recent report and forecast grades plus portfolios if applying for creative subjects.

SWCHS Sixth Form offers 50 different Level 3 subjects, including a hybrid model of A-Levels and Level 3 diplomas. A selection of our Level 3 Diploma subjects are available as a single or a double option. A double course counts as two subject choices (this incudes Further Mathematics). We also offer Level 2 diplomas, which can incorporate resitting GCSE English and/or Maths.

All of our subjects are listed below. We strongly encourage applicants to choose subjects where their forecast grades meet the entry criteria of their chosen courses. All entry criteria is available on the individual course pages of our prospectus, which is available on our website at www.swchs.net
CREATIVE SUBJECTS

For the following subject choices, you will be required to complete a portfolio or provide an example of your work in order to be considered for the course.

Please also ensure that you have also chosen A-Level Photography as one of your subject choices.

As a Photography applicant, we would also like to see a selection of some of your own, existing photography that you are proud to show us. Images should show a variety of subject matter and can be presented as a Powerpoint presentation.

FURTHER MATHEMATICS

Further Maths counts as a double course so will take up two of your subject choices. If you would like to choose Further Mathematics as one of your choices, please ensure that you select Further Mathematics (A) and then select Further Mathematics (B) as well.

AS LEVEL CORE MATHEMATICS

Core Maths is designed to help students gain an understanding of 'real-world maths' and will cover topics such as personal finance, data analysis and cyber intelligence.

This is an AS Level course and is designed to be an enhancement subject and can be studied in addition to other course choices and is available to all students who are meeting the entry requirement of a GCSE grade 4 in Maths (5 is recommended).

MUSIC ACADEMY

If you would like to apply for a place in our Music Academy, you will need to complete an additional Letter of Application, the guidelines for the letter can be found on our website under COURSES - Music Academy.

In February, you will be invited to perform a short representative piece for our Head of Music, Ms Law, at SWCHS and will need to provide certification of your most recent grade/mark achieved for your instrument/voice.

Please ensure that you have checked that you meet the grade eligibility for your chosen subjects.
