WHICH SWCHS PATHWAY SUITS YOU?

SWCHS Sixth Form offers 50 different Level 3 subjects, including a hybrid model of A-Levels and Level 3 diplomas. We also offer Level 2 diplomas, which can incorporate resitting GCSE English and/or Maths.

Our ‘Pathways’ system has been designed to help applicants select their preferred subjects whilst also ensuring that they meet the right entry criteria for their chosen combination of courses. The Pathways are purely for guidance purposes and you will need to also check individual subjects for entry criteria.

WHICH OF OUR SUBJECTS INTEREST YOU?

All of our subjects can be found in our Sixth Form prospectus. We strongly encourage applicants to choose subjects where their forecast grades meet the entry criteria of their chosen course.
All entry criteria is available on the individual course pages of our prospectus.

SINGLE AND DOUBLE SUBJECTS

The following Level 3 Diploma subjects are available as a single or a double option. Please note that a double course counts as two subject choices:

- C&G Level 3 Animal Management
- CTEC Level 3 Art & Design
- CTEC Level 3 Business
- BTEC Level 3 Sport

Please note that A-Level Further Mathematics counts as two subjects and incorporates A-Level Mathematics and therefore you do not need to choose both A-Level Mathematics and A-Level Further Mathematics .

CREATIVE SUBJECTS

For the following subject choices, you will be required to complete a portfolio or provide an example of your work in order to be considered for the course.

- CTEC Level 3 Art and Design
- A-Level Art, Craft and Design
- A-Level Art and Textile Design
- A-Level Three-Dimensional Design and Architecture
- CTEC Level 3 Digital Media.

Further instructions regarding this will be sent to you by email once your application has been completed.
