Sixth Form students receive teaching of the highest quality, while extensive pastoral guidance provides students with personalised care. In particular, the support we offer during the UCAS process is exceptional; compatible students work together, with individual supervision provided by a specialist tutor. Students applying for apprenticeships and employment receive similar guidance, as we have our own Employability advisor and a dedicated Programme of Progression, in other words, supporting a plan for life post-SWCHS.
Our Sixth Form is about much more than academic success. As one of our students said to Ofsted inspectors, "we are encouraged to be well-rounded individuals, not just academically successful". We believe the Sixth Form is an ideal stepping-stone to higher education or employment, and we encourage and support students to develop the skills needed to succeed independently.
