Students study AQA GCSE History (specification code – 8145)

The Key Stage 4 curriculum is developed over two years with five hours of taught content per fortnight.  

Britain: migration, empires and the people c790 to the present day The Elizabethan Age c.1568 – 1603 Germany: democracy and dictatorship c.1890-1945 Conflict and tension between East and West 1945-1972 (The Cold War) We sequence the units in a broad chronological order. This means that the ‘Britain: migration, empires and the people’ unit is divided into four parts which are taught across Year 10 and Year 11.
